The Leopold School District Foundation was formed in 2007 and was created to raise funds to benefit the Leopold School District and assist with potential budgetary shortfalls in the coming years. Due in large part to your support of Leopold School, the Foundation was able to financially support the following activities in 2022:
From the 2001-02 school year to present, the Leopold School District has been awarded the “Distinction in Performance Award” by the Missouri Department of Education for outstanding school performance. We have won this every year that DESE has offered it. Leopold Elementary School was recently awarded the High Progress Title I award from DESE. The Leopold School District has been ranked among the “Top 10” small school districts in the state of Missouri.
Our district has seen several improvements within the past few years. We have improved the safety of our district with the installation of security doors that are electronically locked throughout the school day. We have also collaborated with the Bollinger County Sheriff's Department to staff a Student Resource Officer full time for the district.
In 2017, our district developed a Cross Country sports program. We have had success with the program each year.
A mural club was developed in 2018 to allow students to design and paint murals around campus to improve the look of the district. Several murals have been completed, including one in the gym.
Our Beta and Robotics Clubs have had a great deal of success in the last several years. Both clubs have competed at national level for several years.
